Winterfest at the Square

There was a kids' winterfest in the town square before Christmas. There were a few things about it that could have run a little bit more organized but the kids didn't know that difference and had a fun time. The big thing they had was real snow...well, real artificial snow. They brought in a snow machine and allocated an area for it. The had a kid-sized trained...(when you see the pics, remember that this is small town east texas.) :) They played The Polar Express in the old one-room theater which was fun to watch. And they had several booths for crafts. One was for letter writing to Santa. Hutton and Callaway both wrote a letter, with Hutton's first line to Santa being "You are the coolest". Cade opted out of the Santa thing, and Toben did not want anything to do with Santa. Hutton and Callaway both delivered their letter to Santa and had the biggest smiles on their faces as Santa read the letter (my flash wasn't working at the time).
